The Carpathian Mountain Film Festival (CMIFF) is a film festival dedicated to mountains, ecology, and tourism. It is an important cultural event in the West of Ukraine that promotes cultural development, expands the boundaries of sustainable tourism and its development, raises awareness about the Ukrainian environmental state, and facilitates regional film industry development. Thanks to the festival, we can gather the audience and film professionals to discuss the issues of mountains, tourism, and nature preservation. 

The festival was founded in 2020 by representatives of the Transcarpathian Film Commission, namely Oleksandr Meryavchyk, Vyacheslav Yegorov, and Dmytro Hreshko, to draw the film industry’s attention to Transcarpathia, promote the mountainous region, and revive film production in it. The unique festival atmosphere will inspire admirers of mountains and everything related to them!
